What we look for in tour hosts:
- First and foremost, we look for reliable tour hosts.
- As a tour host, you agree to receive email requests to participate in book tours where you can opt in or simply ignore if not interested. In exchange for a free book or ARC (advance review copy) you will agree to post a review (or book spotlight, interview, guest post) expressing your honest opinion about the book.
- Your review will be posted on the date you are scheduled to participate for the tour you choose to host. We provide a press release with all the book's information, including the author's bio and photo.
- If you cannot post on the date scheduled, you will inform the tour coordinator to reschedule.
- Ideally, your review should be at least 150 words.
- We love tour hosts who also cross-post their reviews on Amazon, Goodreads and other sites.
- We prefer family friendly sites, however if your blog contains material unsuitable for viewers under 18, please indicate this on your blog.
- We reserve the right to remove you from our tour host list if you do not reply to our reminder emails, if you do not post your reviews without good reason or write reviews with derogatory or rude comments
- Please visit our Frequently Asked Questions for iRead Tour Hosts page for more information.
Benefits of being a tour host:

What our tour hosts are saying about working with iRead:
"Laura Fabiani has successfully created an amazing Book Tour/Promotion business. As one of the earliest Bloggers to participate in her tours, I have always been impressed with the epitome of business competency and verve she possesses and what a faultless example she is as a Tour Host."
- Lu Ann @ Rockin Book Reviews
"I love working with iRead Book Tours. Laura does a wonderful job with us and is a good friend to me though I've only been working with her for 2 years. Laura is easy to get a hold of and will work with you. If you have a problem, you can talk to her. She's understanding. Through the tours, I found new authors, some who have become my favorite authors. I've even found new book bloggers to follow. I enjoy working with this company and will be with them for a long time."
- Lindsay @ Nighttime Reading Center
"I'm not an author, but I love to read and review books. This tour company is great to work with, in that they give me all the information I need in a very timely matter and help promote my posts. I love the giveback program they have set up--after a reviewer posts reviews or spotlights, a form can be filled out to earn points and after so many points, a gift card is received. I also love how each tour and book is fully disclosed with content warnings, as I am a clean reader, and all vital information is given right up front. This tour company is one of my favorites to blog for."
- Katie @ Katie's Clean Book Collection
"Though I haven’t been working with iRead long, they are one of my favourite companies to work with because they’re so attentive to their authors as well as their bloggers! Honestly, I didn’t really know how these tours worked when I first started blogging and so my first call is always to email and ask. And surprisingly, someone got back to me! Very quickly! It’s just been a pleasure talking to and working with the team. They really seem to enjoy putting on these tours, which makes my work as a blogger so much easier! Thank you to Laura and the team for all that you do! This really is a company others should look to as an example!"
- Sam @ Spines in a Line
"I've not been a Host for IREAD BOOK TOURS long but I've had fun and am looking forward to many more years of hosting for them."
- Pam @ Book Crazy Scrapbook Mama
"Since 2013 or so, I have been part of a lot of awesome book tour companies. Unfortunately with some I had to part, and with others I continue to remain. iRead Book Tours as well as its sister company Italy Book Tours are ones I remain with. There are a lot benefits that I enjoy in hosting iRead Book Tours as well as Italy Book Tours on my blog; one discovering some pretty awesome reads that I might not have known about, and another is working with passionate and dedicated Laura Fabiani and Debra Schoenberger who understand the value of being a reviewer and add awesome incentive of amazon gift cards in addition to free reads. The books that iRead Book Tours as well as Italy Book Tours specialize in, from what I can see, are indie, which makes it highly likely that a hidden gem is waiting to be discovered by the reviewer."
- Svetlana @ Svetlana's Reads and Views
"I have hosted with various book tour hosts. Theirs is a job that entails a vast amount of organization and skill in managing authors, calendars, and bloggers daily. My greatest appreciation of iRead and Laura falls is in the great attention paid to detail. The blogger receives clear instructions on time and well before the review date. In addition, Laura manages a variety of genre in the books she offers her bloggers to read and review. Everything from children’s books through YA fantasy and fiction to contemporary fiction for women and men plus books on health and wellness. I have recently pared down the number of blog tours with whom I work, but rest assured I will always enjoy my relationship with iRead. Thanks, Laura, to you and your team for all you do!"
- Sherrey @ Puddletown Reviews
"With Laura and I sharing the same name, I felt a quick connection with her. We’ve had some fun chats and I feel I’ve come to know her. The authors and books I’ve shared through the tours are fabulous and I’ve come to follow many a new author this way.Working with Laura is always a pleasure. She’s quick to respond and always happy to go the extra mile to make sure I have everything I need to present a lovely post. I’m looking forward to many more years of sharing."
- Laura @ FUONLYKNEW
"Founded by Laura Fabiani, an avid reader and reviewer herself, you will find iRead an excellent choice if you are interesting in a virtual tour with your own book. Ms Fabiani is a professional all the way through, handing every detail with precision from start to finish. I’m always impressed how well she stays on top of the busy tour schedules. Many authors have enjoyed increased success on her tours, as is evidenced by the number of return writers we see. As reviewers, we have gotten to know many new authors that we might have missed without her tours. It’s always a pleasure working with iRead."
- Merry @ Jaquo Lifestyle Magazine
"We first met Laura through a tour featuring Lauren Carr, a favorite author of mine. Ms. Fabiani impressed with her professionalism, her thorough detail and timeliness, and her enthusiasm for the tour. Every tour we have been a part of since has maintained the same high standards. With a wide variety of authors and books, it is always a treat to receive notice of a coming tour. Since that first tour, we’ve done many reviews, interviews, and guest articles written by popular authors of both fiction and non-fiction. If you are interested in promoting your book, you will definitely want to contact Laura at iRead Book Tours. It’s a wonderful way to spread the word."
- Merry @ Mystery Suspense Reviews
"I've been part of iRead Book Tours for at least the last two years. I've been a part of several book promotion companies and iRead is at the top of my list. Everything is handled extremely professionally and I'm given all the materials needed in a timely and organized manner. Laura and iRead are so great to work with. I know I'll continue to help promote great books with these book tours. I'm looking forward to more years of working together!"
- Stacie @ Sincerely Stacie
"There are many reasons I really like about working with iRead Book Tours, but here are my top three, five, no six (if I keep thinking the list will keep growing!):
"Virtual book tour companies are not made equally. iRead Book Tours is in a class of its own. Owner, Laura Fabiani, is gracious and professional—qualities that make blog tour participants, like myself, able to explore books without the stress of receiving media kits at the 11th hour."
- Lonna @ FLYLēF Reviews
" If you are looking for a reputable source for book tours I would suggest iRead."
- Arwen @ I Love a Good Book
"Not only am I a book blogger and reviewer but I have published three books of my own. iRead Book Tours was my first and only choice to tour my books because Laura understands the book market and can help you in ways you never thought of. She is quick to answer any questions you have and is on top of all the social media aspects of promoting your book. I’m glad that iRead is so successful because Laura has put her heart and a tremendous amount of energy into being the best in the book promotion business. Yah!"
- Debra @ #redhead.with.book
"Laura is very friendly and easy to work with. I like how she goes out of her way to make sure you have all you need to complete your tours. There is a wide variety of books to choose from to not only read but to help promote. I look forward to continuing to work with Laura."
- Angela @ A Holland Reads
"iRead is one of my favorite tour companies. Make sure you check out their site, what great services they offer and some of the great books touring with them right now."
- Julie @ Romantic Reads and Such
"I have worked with Laura doing reviews, spotlights and giveaways for probably 2 out of those three years. I love working with iRead Book Tours as I love promoting authors. I have been doing this since 2009 and have come across some awesome authors and books during that time! Laura has always been professional in her correspondence and her creation of the posts that we use!"
- Kathleen @ Celticlady's Reviews
"Laura is one of the most amazing individuals I have ever worked with. She is always there to answer my questions within the hour, she is super organized and her content is always flawless. She knows not only what authors and bloggers need but also what readers want and need to know about the novel. She presents this information in an easy to follow format not only for readers but for bloggers as well. She hosts a wide variety of books and I have never been disappointed with hosting a tour spot with her – from communicating about available tours, to receiving books and to receiving information about the book spot.It has been a pleasure to work with Laura and I can not wait to continue working with her in the future!"
- Carla @ Working Mommy Journal
"I was first introduced to iRead Book Tours a few years back when I posted reviews of books I've read on Amazon, and got into the top 10,000 reviewers ranking, during which I got an invitation to join the various tours. I've enjoyed reading most of the books with which I've been provided, and reviewing them on my blog. I also appreciate the occasional Amazon gift cards I receive for earning enough points, since I am a frequent Amazon shopper. I will gladly continue reviewing for iRead Book Tours for years to come."
- Jeremy @ The Autistic Gamer
"I am proud to say I have been taking part in iRead tours for almost 2 years. iRead Book Tours is dedicated to helping bloggers have the best resources in a timely manners so that posting during a tour is easy and enjoyable. The disclosure of what a book's rating might be and why makes this the perfect way for bloggers to not request a book that may have content that I as a reader might not want to read. I love the variety of books that iRead Book Tours offers as well as the format options in both text (physical or digital) and audio."
- Meagan @ Blooming With Books
"I've participated in iRead Book Tours since 2015. There is a great variety of books, and they make sure to get you all the information you need for your posts with enough time to prepare your post in advance of when it is due. They also have an incentive program where you are entered into a giveaway every time you do a post for them."
- Lisa @ Lisa Loves Literature
"I have been a reviewer for iRead book tours from a long time and I love their professionalism in promoting books."
- Mahathi @ Fantastic Feathers
"Laura was one of the first tour companies that I contacted when I started my blog back in March last year. She is professional and runs a tight, yet super polite, ship. Very proud to be a part of the team."
- Kaisha @ The Writing Garnet
"I have worked with iRead Book Tours for a couple years and Laura is one of the best coordinators to work with. As my TBR list gets longer and longer, I’ve gotten pickier about who I do tours wih but I always try to make room for her tours."
- Dawn @ Bound 4 Escape and Bound 2 Escape
"I haven’t been a blog tour host with iRead for long. However, I want to say that I enjoy blogging on behalf of authors and helping them get the word out about their books. To be able to find new books to read and help authors promote their work to a potentially untapped audience is what iRead Book Tours is all about. In an age when there is an endless distribution of information through various outlets, it’s easier now than before for authors to get their name and work out there. However, that’s a double-edge sword because writers and their work can also get lost in that endless ocean of information. Finding bloggers that will help authors emphasize their voice is therefore all the more important. With iRead Book Tours, that process is easier because there are just as many bloggers eager for site content and to help authors as there are writers seeking channels to promote their work. Everybody helps everybody, and I’m glad to be a part of a company and a community that has a mutual, strong love for books."
- Teresa @ Teresa Edmond-Sargeant
"Some three years ago I was approached by Laura Fabiani out of the blue to be a book blogger for her new site. Having just set up my own blog I was delighted to become part of what seems like an extended family. Since then I've had the pleasure of reviewing some fantastic reads, many of which were set in Italy; those who know me will understand my passion for foreign climes. Laura is always a pleasure to work with and a true professional."
- Julie @ All Things Bookie
"Whether you are an author looking for innovative ways to market your book or a book reviewer ready to connect with a great company, iRead Book Tours offers a professional and quality experience to each and every client/reviewer. I am a fan."
- Marilyn @ Olio by Marilyn
"I have come to appreciate how iRead Book Tours gives special attention to every book that tours with them; they are clearly passionate about books while not forgetting the authors behind them. That is why they go beyond plain marketing, helping instead authors get the best exposure using traditional review tours. Laura is not the only wonderful person to work with; iRead has brought together a great group of book bloggers and authors as part of her staff. And in contrast to so many other book tour services, iRead focuses on a few quality books, reaching out in a well-thought out strategic manner rather than bombarding bloggers with generic email after email. This is why, if you are an author looking for a way to market your blog, I would strongly recommend iRead Book Tours."
