Submission Guidelines
The iRead Review is about discovering small press or indie authors. We want to help you tell the world you wrote a great book! However, we do have a criteria for the books we accept to review based on the interests of our reviewers. In order to produce an unbiased review, there are certain genres we do not accept.

We require a copy of your book before acceptance. We reserve the right to refuse books that do not fit our criteria.

We accept books:
- That are self-published, but must be edited by a professional editor;
- From a small press publishing company, also professionally edited;
- From most genres in fiction and non-fiction: books for children, middle-grade, young adult and adult;
- In e-book formats;
- In audiobook formats.
We do not accept books:
- Labeled erotica (hard core sex);
- Whose main theme is the occult or horror (no witchcraft, zombies, vampires, ghosts or demons) There may at times be some of these elements in suspense thrillers or police dramas, which may be acceptable. We will review each book before deciding to accept or decline it;
- Whose main theme is LGBTQ. (it's okay if there are characters who are gay). Sorry, we don't have enough qualified reviewers at this time to supply adequate reviews for these books.
- With covers that depict nudity;
- That promote unethical issues.
- Non-fiction books of social or political analysis or fiction books with social, political, or religious themes that are disrespectfully critical toward any person or group due to their social, religious, or political beliefs. This applies to both liberal and conservative viewpoints.
