Join us for this tour from May 4 to May 22, 2026! Book Details: Book Title: Under a Whistling Sky: A Girl's Journey Through a War-Torn Childhood by Milica Vidić Vogt Category: Adult Non-Fiction (18+), 218 pages Genre: Memoir Publisher: Dream Publishing House Release date: November 2025 Formats Available for Review: ebook (GIFTED KINDLE, EPUB, PDF) Tour dates: May 4 to May 22, 2026 Content Rating: PG: no bad language, but it is about a child living through a war zone. Book Description: At just seven years old, Milica dreamed only of carefree days—picking wild violets in the fields, laughing with friends, and basking in the warmth of her small village in Dalmatia, Yugoslavia. She could never have imagined what lay ahead: the scream of grenades, the shattering of glass, and the terror of fleeing home under fire. Her childhood was torn apart by war, and in its place came bomb shelters, refugee camps, and a relentless fight for survival. With unflinching honesty, Milica offers a child’s-eye view of displacement, loss, and the unbreakable bonds of family, revealing the human cost of war and the enduring light that carried her forward. Now living in St. Louis, Missouri, with her husband, Justin, their son, Allen, and their puppy, Zoey, Milica Vogt is a scientist turned storyteller. For nearly two decades, she worked in the corporate world, but the voices of her past have never faded. Under a Whistling Sky is a tribute to the past, a witness to survival, and a reminder that even in the darkest of times, hope and quiet courage endure. Meet the Author
A native of Croatia, Milica “Vidic” Vogt was twelve years old when she fled the country in 1995 during “Operation Storm,” also known as the ethnic cleansing of Serbs in Croatia. After living in a refugee camp for a few years in Serbia, she immigrated to the United States for the best chance of safety, freedom, and prosperity. A scientist by training, after almost twenty years in corporate America, she decided to dedicate her time and energy in writing her memoir and sharing her story of struggle, hope, and survival with intentions to help and inspire others going through similar life circumstances so they can claim their strength to overcome what may seem impossible at the moment. Book Details: Book Title: Life and How to Live It: Begin the Begin by Chaz Holesworth Category: Adult Non-Fiction (18+), 296 pages Genre: Memoir Publisher: Chaz Holesworth Release date: May 2024 Formats Available for Review: print (print - softback / USA), ebook (GIFTED KINDLE, EPUB, PDF) Tour dates: April 20 to May 8, 2026 Content Rating: PG-13 + M: My book involves trauma, mental health issues and suicidal thoughts and cursing Book Description: Philadelphia in the 1980s was no place for the soft-hearted. For Chaz Holesworth, childhood meant dodging gangs, addiction, and silence after slammed doors. His father’s world ran on heroin, his mother’s on holy fear. Caught between two extremes, sin and salvation, Chaz learned early on how to disappear: keep your head down, don’t ask questions, and pray someone notices you anyway. But everything changed the day he discovered music. In R.E.M., Tori Amos, and The Replacements, he hears something no sermon ever offered: truth, raw and imperfect. As his home life spiraled and his faith fractured, those lyrics became lifelines, every note pulling him closer to the one thing he never had: his own identity. What happens when the noise outside becomes louder than the voice inside? Or when loyalty to broken people starts to break you too? Unflinching and darkly funny, Life and How to Live It: Volume One is more than a coming-of-age memoir: It’s a portrait of grit, grief, poverty, and the fragile beauty of hope born from chaos. Chaz Holesworth’s story captures the pulse of Philadelphia’s rough-edged streets and the soundtrack that kept him alive as he battled lost faith, family dysfunction, and his father’s addiction. For anyone who’s ever grown up in the wreckage of someone else’s choices, Chaz’s story is proof that you can still build something beautiful from the debris. Book Details: Book Title: Life and How to Live it: Near Wild Heaven by Chaz Holesworth Category: Adult Non-Fiction (18+), 219 pages Genre: Memoir Publisher: Chaz Holesworth Release date: January 2026 Formats Available for Review: print (print - softback / USA), ebook (GIFTED KINDLE, EPUB, PDF) Tour dates: April 20 to May 8, 2026 Content Rating: PG-13 + M: My book has traumatic experiences with suicidal thoughts and cursing in it. Book Description: In this haunting and deeply human continuation of his memoir, Chaz Holesworth leaves the wreckage of his Philadelphia childhood behind only to face a new kind of war: unraveling the aftermath of a world where faith meant fear, and obedience meant survival. As a teenager, he’s told that emotions are weakness and questions are sin. But when first love cracks open the cage, it ignites a longing that no sermon can silence. Amid passion, heartbreak, and the lingering echoes of trauma, Chaz is thrust into freefall. Movement becomes his only escape. Music becomes his only prayer. And with every mile, every lyric, he begins piecing together a voice he thought was lost forever. For years, he followed every rule. Years later, heartbreak taught him what obedience never could: how to feel alive. A raw, lyrical journey through faith, fear, and first love, Life and How to Live It: Volume 2 is a powerful coming-of-age memoir about reclaiming identity, breaking indoctrination, and finding truth in the echoes of your own voice. With unfettered honesty and poetic insight, Chaz Holesworth explores the daunting process of unlearning shame, questioning belief, and learning to live authentically after years of enforced silence. A heart-rending tale of resilience and a time capsule for pop culture in the mid-90s, this memoir is a reminder that the path to freedom begins when we stop simply surviving and start choosing to live. And She Was Never the Same Again is about you. It is about your family and your friends, everyone you've ever met, and all the strangers you have yet to meet. It takes you on a journey of gains and losses that stretch generations, cultures, identities, and decades of time. It awakens you to the inevitable and makes you look at things most people want to avoid seeing. It explores near-death experiences; medical, individual, and intergenerational trauma; the stigmatized death of a partner; perfectionism; athletics; first loves; and the gaping holes that become permanent fixtures within us when those we love the most die. You will feel, you will learn, you will grown, and you will never be the same again.

She’s passionate about the power of storytelling and wanted to illustrate nuanced ways we cope with grief. Book Details: Book Title: Happy Harry: A Magical Golden by Barbara Lampert Category: Adult Non-Fiction 18 yrs +, 318 pages Genre: Dog Memoir Publisher: Golden Wolf Books Release date: November, 2023 Format available for review: print (print - softback / USA and Canada) and ebook (EPUB and PDF) available for review. Tour dates: June 4 to June 24, 2024 Content Rating: G: My book is perfectly fit for general audiences from young adults up to seniors. "Nobody who loves dogs will be able to resist your book! A magnificent love story!" - Jeffrey Moussaieff Masson, international bestselling author of Dogs Never Lie About Love and When Elephants Weep. "Everyone loves Golden Retrievers, or at least they should. But what sets Barbara Lampert apart is not just that she is over-the-top crazy about Goldens, but that she writes so beautifully about them. Happy Harry: A Magical Golden is a wonderful love letter to the greatest creatures on the planet." - David Rosenfelt, national bestselling and award-winning author of Dogtripping and Leader of the Pack Book Description: In her dog memoir Happy Harry: A Magical Golden, author and psychotherapist Barbara Lampert, a lifelong dog lover, tells the true story of her beloved Golden Retriever, Harry. Like her first dog memoir, Harry’s story comes from her mostly uncensored daily journal and takes place in Malibu, California. Harry was a genuinely free spirit – wild, and very wolf-like. Did all this contribute to his being exceptionally happy? Perhaps. Harry was not only the happiest being Barbara’s ever known, happy to the very core of him, but also the bravest. More than once in his life, Harry had to face true adversity, and each time, Barbara would look at him in wonder, not fully understanding how a being could be so brave and at the same time continue to be so happy. Harry literally pranced through life, with a joyous attitude that made being around him like magic. Meet the Author: My passion is dogs! I’ve had dogs most of my life and hope to have at least one by my side always. Dog energy is the best! I’m a psychotherapist, licensed for over thirty years as a Marriage and Family Therapist, specializing in relationships. I’m also an author. Happy Harry: A Magical Golden is my second dog memoir. My first is Charlie: A Love Story. Both about two of my Golden Retrievers. (See, I told you that dogs are my passion!) Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, I was a flight attendant for United Airlines for nine years. I also acquired two masters degrees and a doctorate. And taught sociology at a number of universities. Gardening is another love of mine (Not as much as dogs but right up there!). I see my garden as a work of art and garden as much as possible in my free time. I love being in nature. The miracle of growth, the changing landscape, the beauty. I live in Malibu, California with my husband David and, you guessed it, our two wonderful Golden Retrievers, Oliver and Henry. "iRead Book Tours has been the most effective and rewarding marketing experience we've had. We’ve explored multiple strategies and worked with other virtual tour companies, but none delivered the exposure and quality of reviews that iRead provided. Our only regret is allocating too much of our marketing budget elsewhere. The iRead Book Tours team are true professionals; organized, efficient, and an absolute pleasure to work with. They made the entire process seamless and enjoyable. We highly recommend iRead Book Tours to any author or publisher looking to make a real impact." - Robyn Fonrose, Marketing Manager, New Classics Publishing
At New Shelves Books, I regularly recommend iRead Book Tours to authors and publishers because Lauren and her team consistently overdeliver. Their well-organized tours provide impactful blog features, reviews, and social media buzz that go beyond expectations. For a book tour that truly makes a difference, iRead is the way to go!
- Keri-Rae Barnum, Book Marketing Expert, New Shelves Books Not only does Lauren do a fantastic job of organizing the tour and communicating with you at every step of the way, but I found the tour hosts that signed up for her tour to be of a higher caliber. The reviews that I got on this tour were thoughtful and well-written and I noticed an uptick in sales during this tour. I also appreciated the fact that many of her tour hosts that wrote reviews posted them on multiple sites, not just on their blog or Instagram account. This is invaluable to an author. I highly recommend Lauren and iReads Book Tours. - Allyson Rice, author of The Key to Circus-Mom Highway
Lauren Carr's iReads Book Tour is amazing! She gets real results. Not only did I get thousands of new eyes on my series, but I grew my following on all social media channels as well. Lauren has a dedicated group of reviewers and bloggers who are competent and reliable - no more wasted ARCs mailed out with no results.
