The balance of well-researched history and endearing local tales makes this reading experience both illuminating and entertaining, boasting prose filled with inherent pride and passion, and proving this is a state that should never be overlooked." - Self-Publishing Review
Book Description:
Delaware from Freeways to E-Ways by Dave Tabler examines the transformative history of Delaware during the 20th century, exploring the transition from physical infrastructure, epitomized by T. Coleman du Pont's pioneering highway, to the digital innovations that culminated in the internet age. Through a blend of meticulous research and engaging narratives, Tabler highlights Delaware's contributions to key industries, social movements, and cultural milestones. From the rise of the du Pont family to the legacy of the Nanticoke people, the book offers a vivid tapestry of events and figures that shaped both the state and the nation. ![]()
Meet the Author:
Ten year old Dave Tabler decided he was going to read the ‘R’ volume from the family’s World Book Encyclopedia set over summer vacation. He never made it from beginning to end. He did, however, become interested in Norman Rockwell, rare-earth elements, and Run for the Roses. Tabler’s father encouraged him to try his hand at taking pictures with the family camera. With visions of Rockwell dancing in his head, Tabler press-ganged his younger brother into wearing a straw hat and sitting next to a stream barefoot with a homemade fishing pole in his hand. The resulting image was terrible. Dave Tabler went on to earn degrees in art history and photojournalism despite being told he needed a ‘Plan B.' Fresh out of college, Tabler contributed the photography for The Illustrated History of American Civil War Relics, which taught him how to work with museum curators, collectors, and white cotton gloves. He met a man in the Shenandoah Valley who played the musical saw, a Knoxville fellow who specialized in collecting barbed wire, and Tom Dickey, brother of the man who wrote ‘Deliverance.’ In 2006 Tabler circled back to these earlier encounters with Appalachian culture as an idea for a blog. AppalachianHistory.net today reaches 375,000 readers a year. Dave Tabler moved to Delaware in 2010 and became smitten with its rich past. He no longer copies Norman Rockwell, but his experience working with curators and collectors came in handy when he got the urge to photograph a love letter to Delaware’s early heritage. This may be the start of something. connect with the author: website ~ X ~ facebook ~ pinterest ~ instagram ~ goodreads

Book Details: Book Title: And She Was Never the Same Again: A Multigenerational Memoir by Natasha Pryde Trujillo Ph.D. Category: Adult Non-Fiction 18 yrs +, 285 pages Genre: Multigenerational Memoir Publisher: Violet Echoes Press Release date: April, 2024 Format available for review: print-softback (USA only), audiobook (audible download code), ebook (EPUB and PDF) (internationally) Tour dates: Aug 5 to Aug 23, 2024 Content Rating: PG-13: discusses trauma, near-death experiences, grief
"Dr. Trujillo has done an exceptional job of opening her life of grief and loss for her audience to experience. The intentional nature in which this book is written provides a welcome comfort of hope. Her words encourage her audience to look at those 'isms' we humans all own and instead of wanting to avoid seeing them, to look at them and learn how to navigate and accept; especially when it is too late to share those sentiments when you could have." —Feathered Quill Book Reviews
Book Description:
And She Was Never the Same Again is about you. It is about your family and your friends, everyone you've ever met, and all the strangers you have yet to meet. It takes you on a journey of gains and losses that stretch generations, cultures, identities, and decades of time. It awakens you to the inevitable and makes you look at things most people want to avoid seeing. It explores near-death experiences; medical, individual, and intergenerational trauma; the stigmatized death of a partner; perfectionism; athletics; first loves; and the gaping holes that become permanent fixtures within us when those we love the most die. You will feel, you will learn, you will grown, and you will never be the same again.
Meet the Author:
Dr. Trujillo is a counseling and sport psychologist, consultant, educator, author, and human. Labels don’t make her better or worse-equipped to deal with inevitable grief throughout life. She’s passionate about the power of storytelling and wanted to illustrate nuanced ways we cope with grief. Like you, she’s had losses and decided risking vulnerability may encourage others to redefine relationships with loss to live more holistic and intentional lives. She hopes this limited collection of stories can build the realization that there’s no “right” way to grieve. connect with the author: website ~ facebook ~ instagram ~ goodreads

"iRead Book Tours has been the most effective and rewarding marketing experience we've had. We’ve explored multiple strategies and worked with other virtual tour companies, but none delivered the exposure and quality of reviews that iRead provided. Our only regret is allocating too much of our marketing budget elsewhere. The iRead Book Tours team are true professionals; organized, efficient, and an absolute pleasure to work with. They made the entire process seamless and enjoyable. We highly recommend iRead Book Tours to any author or publisher looking to make a real impact." - Robyn Fonrose, Marketing Manager, New Classics Publishing
At New Shelves Books, I regularly recommend iRead Book Tours to authors and publishers because Lauren and her team consistently overdeliver. Their well-organized tours provide impactful blog features, reviews, and social media buzz that go beyond expectations. For a book tour that truly makes a difference, iRead is the way to go!
- Keri-Rae Barnum, Book Marketing Expert, New Shelves Books Not only does Lauren do a fantastic job of organizing the tour and communicating with you at every step of the way, but I found the tour hosts that signed up for her tour to be of a higher caliber. The reviews that I got on this tour were thoughtful and well-written and I noticed an uptick in sales during this tour. I also appreciated the fact that many of her tour hosts that wrote reviews posted them on multiple sites, not just on their blog or Instagram account. This is invaluable to an author. I highly recommend Lauren and iReads Book Tours. - Allyson Rice, author of The Key to Circus-Mom Highway
Lauren Carr's iReads Book Tour is amazing! She gets real results. Not only did I get thousands of new eyes on my series, but I grew my following on all social media channels as well. Lauren has a dedicated group of reviewers and bloggers who are competent and reliable - no more wasted ARCs mailed out with no results.
